MOU Signing Between Strathmore Business School and the CEOrt

The Chairman of the CEO Roundtable of Tanzania, Mr. Sanjay Rughani, and Dr. George Njenga, Dean of Strathmore Business School, signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the Hyatt Regency Kilimanjaro Hotel in Dar es Salaam — formalising the academic partnership behind the CEO Apprenticeship Programme and deepening cooperation on executive education for Tanzanian leaders.

The CEO Roundtable of Tanzania, in partnership with Strathmore University Business School, unveiled the CEO Apprenticeship Programme (CAP), commencing with its first Knowledge Forum Session — a structured pathway for mentoring the next generation of Tanzanian chief executives.

The CEOrt Welcomes New Members of the Board

At its meeting on June 26, 2020, the CEO Roundtable of Tanzania Board of Directors announced that Mr. Mark Ocitti and Mr. David Nchimbi will serve as board members. The CEOrt congratulated Mark and David on their appointment, wishing them every success in harnessing their leadership skills to help shape the organisation’s future.

Private Sector Efforts to Create More Gender Equal Workplaces

Drawing on a 2018 World Bank Report estimating that equal wages for women would enrich the global economy by US $160 trillion, the CEOrt convened members around the business case for gender equality — promoting women into leadership improves decision making, competitiveness, innovation and overall business performance.

Announcement of the New Chairman of the Board, CEOrt Tanzania

The Board of Directors resolved at its meeting held on 29th March 2018 that Mr. Sanjay Rughani serve as Chairman of the Board. Mr. Rughani succeeds Mr. Ali Mufuruki, who continued to serve as a board member.
