Nelson Alfred Rwihula

Nelson Alfred Rwihula is one of Tanzania’s Most prominent professionals in the insurance and finance sectors, currently serving as the CEO of UAP Insurance Tanzania Limited, a position he has held since January 2024. With nearly 20 years of experience, Nelson has a distinguished track record of transforming organizations and driving financial success. His career includes previous roles as CFO and Acting CEO at UAP Insurance, where he improved financial performance and operational efficiency.

He also enhanced profitability and modernized processes at Jubilee Insurance. Nelson’s academic background includes a Bachelor’s in Business Accounting from Mzumbe University and an MBA from ESAMI. His professional qualifications features UK FCCA, CPA Tanzania, and Certified Director.

He has also served as CFO at Metropolitan Tanzania Life Assurance and Senior Auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers. In addition to his executive role, Nelson chairs the UAP Old Mutual Risk Management Committee and contributes to process excellence and executive education. Based in Dar es Salaam, he is dedicated to advancing the financial and insurance industries.
